Evans González Moreno

Founding Partner

Outstanding litigation attorney, with two decades of experience representing important national and international companies, in complex disputes in the construction, energy, transportation, maritime and infrastructure sectors. He is currently an Arbitrator before the Panama Conciliation and Arbitration Center (CeCAP), and an Arbitrator before the Conflict Resolution Center (CESCON) of the Panamanian Chamber of Construction (CAPAC).

He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Political Science, Sigma Lambda Honor Chapter, from the University of Panama (1998); Master in Commercial Law from the Santa Maria La Antigua University (2001); and Master in Procedural Law from the Latin University of Panama (2005).

He is a member of the National Bar Association, the Panamanian Association of Maritime Law, the Panamanian Institute of Procedural Law and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) – Panama Chapter.

Rubén González Rivera

Senior Associate

In his career of more than fifteen years he has specialized in civil litigation, insolvency, commercial, banking, corporate, family, consumer affairs, handling of processes before the Superintendencies of Securities, Insurance and Banks.

As part of his experience in the public sector, he served as Secretary of the Second Municipal Civil Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama (2008-2010); Head of the Office and Judge alternate in the Family Jurisdiction (2009-2010); Judicial Secretary of the Second Municipal Court of San Miguelito (2007-2008); Alternate Judge and Judicial Secretary of the Second Municipal Family Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama (2005-2007); Senior Officer in the Second Municipal Family Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama (2005); Senior Officer of the Second Sectional Family Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama (2004).

He graduated from Latin American University of Science and Technology, where he obtained his degree in Law and Political Science (2003); Postgraduate in Mediation (2004) and Postgraduate in Alternative Conflict Resolution Methods (2005); and Master in Mediation, Negotiation and Arbitration (2005).
He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) – Panama Chapter.

David Díaz Martin

Adviser

Extensive experience in the government and private sector, in the areas of criminal law and environmental law. He advises companies and their executives in criminal litigation related to corporate and business activity, in the same way, he designs strategies aimed at preventing criminal proceedings.

Desde el 2001 ocupó distintos cargos en el Ministerio Público, tales como oficial mayor, secretario judicial, asistente de despacho y Fiscal Superior; Director Legal del Ministerio de Ambiente (2012-2014); y se desempeñó como Subsecretario General de la Procuraduría General de la Nación y Fiscal Superior Coordinador (2015 – 2019).

Es egresado de la Universidad Latina de Panamá, con el título de Licenciado en Derecho y Ciencias Políticas (2005); y posee formación en Sistema Penal Acusatorio por parte del Programa de Asistencia Legal para América Latina y el Caribe -LAPLAC– Naciones Unidas.

Realizó estudios prácticos de la estructura judicial de Bogotá, Colombia; curso de Sistema Penal Acusatorio de la Universidad Externado de Colombia; curso de especialización en Práctica Financiera en el INIDEM Business Law School; capacitaciones en Delitos Económicos; seminarios para evaluador de los estándares del Grupo de Acción Financiera Internacional (GAFI); y participó en los distintos procesos de evaluación de la República de Panamá como técnico en Lavado de Activos y cumplimiento de normativas de prevención.

Fernando Berroa Jované

Specialist in litigation and legal advice, with more than two decades of experience in civil, commercial, administrative, contentious-administrative law, in conflicts over consumer relations, national and international arbitration, protection of guarantees and constitutional rights, complex issues of
commercial companies and shareholders, private interest foundations, insolvency proceedings, reorganization and liquidation of insurers and reinsurers. Arbitrator of the Center for Conciliation and Arbitration of Panama.

He obtained his degree in Law and Political Science from the University of Panama
(1999); has a maste’s degree in Procedural Law from the Universidad Latina de
Panamá (2007).
He belongs to the National Bar Association, Panamanian Institute of Procedural Law
(founder). Member of the Panamanian Association of Business Executives (APEDE).

Maziel Monterrey

Associate

Specialist in Administrative Law, in matters related to public contracting, legal advice to construction corporations and consortiums, Government Contracting, procedures before the different Public Entities; as well as claims before the General Directorate of Public Procurement, challenge resources before the Administrative Court of Public Procurement, and contentious-administrative complaints before the Supreme Court of Justice; and specialist in Labor Law.

She obtained her degree in Law and Political Science from the University of Panama (2002). Master’s degree in Commercial Law from the Universidad Latina de Panamá (2012), Postgraduate in Senior Management Postgraduate from the Universidad Latina de Panamá (2013). She belongs to the National Bar Association.

Tizka Torres

She has more than fifteen years of experience in the legal sector, during which she has acquired extensive experience in corporate law, administrative law, civil and commercial contracts.

She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Latin American University of Science and Technology (2001).

Fernando Fernández Lizano

He has experience in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, at the level of Circuit Courts, Superior Courts and Supreme Court of Justice.
