Evans González Moreno

Founding Partner

Outstanding litigation attorney, with two decades of experience representing important national and international companies, in complex disputes in the construction, energy, transportation, maritime and infrastructure sectors. He is currently an Arbitrator before the Panama Conciliation and Arbitration Center (CeCAP), and an Arbitrator before the Conflict Resolution Center (CESCON) of the Panamanian Chamber of Construction (CAPAC).

He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Political Science, Sigma Lambda Honor Chapter, from the University of Panama (1998); Master in Commercial Law from the Santa Maria La Antigua University (2001); and Master in Procedural Law from the Latin University of Panama (2005).

 

He is a member of the National Bar Association, the Panamanian Association of Maritime Law, the Panamanian Institute of Procedural Law and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) – Panama Chapter.

Rubén González Rivera

Senior Associate

In his career of more than fifteen years he has specialized in civil litigation, insolvency, commercial, banking, corporate, family, consumer affairs, handling of processes before the Superintendencies of Securities, Insurance and Banks.

As part of his experience in the public sector, he served as Secretary of the Second Municipal Civil Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama (2008-2010); Head of the Office and Judge alternate in the Family Jurisdiction (2009-2010); Judicial Secretary of the Second Municipal Court of San Miguelito (2007-2008); Alternate Judge and Judicial Secretary of the Second Municipal Family Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama (2005-2007); Senior Officer in the Second Municipal Family Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama (2005); Senior Officer of the Second Sectional Family Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama (2004).

 

He graduated from Latin American University of Science and Technology, where he obtained his degree in Law and Political Science (2003); Postgraduate in Mediation (2004) and Postgraduate in Alternative Conflict Resolution Methods (2005); and Master in Mediation, Negotiation and Arbitration (2005).
He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) – Panama Chapter.

Melquisedec Sánchez Espinosa

Senior Associate

He specializes in disputes in the insurance, surety, real estate, commercial, mining, tourism, transportation and logistics sectors; implementing legal strategies to reduce lawsuit risks or to prepare the grounds for litigation. Its field of action ranges from the preparation of contracts, review of communications in the contractual execution, advice in cases of contractual termination and eventual claims for damages in judicial and arbitration headquarters. In 2004 he began his legal career in the civil jurisdiction of the Judicial Branch.

He is a graduate of the Universidad del Istmo, where he obtained his Bachelor of Law and Political Science (2012); Diploma in Accusatory System as New Criminal Procedure (2013); and Master’s Degree in Procedural Law at the Inter-American University of Panama (2020).

David Díaz Martin

Adviser

Extensive experience in the government and private sector, in the areas of criminal law and environmental law. He advises companies and their executives in criminal litigation related to corporate and business activity, in the same way, he designs strategies aimed at preventing criminal proceedings.

Since 2001 he has held different positions in the Public Ministry, such as senior officer, judicial secretary, office assistant and Superior Prosecutor; Legal Director of the Ministry of the Environment (2012-2014); and he served as Deputy Secretary General of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation and Coordinating Senior Prosecutor (2015 – 2019).
He graduated from the Universidad Latina de Panamá, with a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science (2005); and has training in the Accusatory Penal System by the Legal Assistance Program for Latin America and the Caribbean  LAPLAC – United Nations.
He carried out practical studies of the judicial structure of Bogotá, Colombia; Accusatory Criminal System course at the Externado de Colombia University; specialization course in Financial Practice at INIDEM Business Law School; training in Economic Crimes; seminars for evaluating the standards of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF); and participated in the different evaluation processes of the Republic of Panama as a technician in Money Laundering and compliance with prevention regulations.

Harry Aswani

Associate

He has national and international experience, in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, commercial law, financial law and maritime litigation. In addition to international exchange experience at DLA Piper, London, United Kingdom, mainly in the areas of corporate law and maritime litigation (2018-2019).

He is a fellow of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship (2017-2018), awarded by the British Government; he has been an active member of the British Chamber of Commerce in Panama; and is a member of the Panamanian Association of Maritime Law (APADEMAR).

 

He graduated from the Universidad Santa María la Antigua, where he obtained his degree in Law and Political Science (2014); Diploma in Taxation (2016) and Master’s Degree in Taxation and Fiscal Management (2017), from the Specialized University of the Authorized Public Accountant; and Master’s Degree in Transnational Law from King’s College London (2018).

Tizka Torres

Associate

She has more than fifteen years of experience in the legal sector, during which she has acquired extensive experience in corporate law, administrative law, civil and commercial contracts.

She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Latin American University of Science and Technology (2001).

Fernando Fernández

He has experience in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, at the level of Circuit Courts, Superior Courts and Supreme Court of Justice.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Panama (2017) and Master’s Degree in Procedural Law from the Santa Maria La Antigua University (2020).
